Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

LNKD ("we", "our", or "us") makes an iPhone app that helps couples meet other couples for friendship. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

• Email address and password (the password is stored only in hashed form)
• Display name and optional last initial
• Date of birth, to confirm you are 18 or older

Profile information

• Your photo, and your couple's photos
• Bio, interests, relationship status and anniversary date
• Lifestyle answers, for example about drinking, smoking, cannabis and faith, which we use to show how compatible you are with other couples
• The city and state you choose. We do not collect your device's GPS location.

Activity in the app

• Which couples you connect with or pass on, and your connections
• Messages you exchange with couples you are connected with
• Hangout plans
• Blocks and reports you make

Purchases

• Whether your couple has an LNKD+ subscription, its plan and renewal date. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and run your account
• To show your couple's profile to other couples and suggest couples you might get along with
• To let connected couples message each other and plan hangouts
• To provide LNKD+ features to couples who subscribe
• To send account emails, such as verification and password reset codes
• To keep LNKD safe: reviewing reports, removing content that breaks our Terms, and removing accounts that post it

4. Who Sees and Receives Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

• Other couples see your couple's profile: names, photos, bio, interests, city, and how compatible you are with them. Couples you connect with see the messages you send them. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
• Your partner, if you share a couple profile, sees the couple's profile, connections and chats.
• Service providers who run parts of LNKD for us: Supabase (accounts, database and photo storage), RevenueCat (keeping track of LNKD+ subscriptions), Apple (payments), and our email provider (account emails). They may use your information only to provide those services.
• When required by law, or when necessary to protect someone's safety.

5. Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that limit each person to the data they are allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account, your profile and the photos you uploaded.

If you share a couple profile with a partner who keeps their account, the couple profile, its photos, its connections and its chats stay with them. Messages you sent stay in those chats without your name. If you are the only person in your couple, the whole couple profile is deleted with your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel an LNKD+ subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple; cancel yours in your iPhone's Settings.

7. Your Choices

• Update your profile at any time
• Block couples so they can no longer see or contact you
• Report content or couples that break our Terms
• Leave a couple profile without deleting your account
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask a question, at the address below

8. Age Requirement

LNKD is only for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app or by email.
